Dr. Rod Allen

Dr Rod Allen graduated from the University of Newcastle in 1997. During his undergraduate study he was placed at Armidale, assisting Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Dr Colin Mason. From this placement, Dr Allen chose to specialise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

All Dr Allen's Post Graduate study has been in Queensland and he has worked at most of the major hospitals including Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospitals, Princess Alexandra, Queen Elizabeth II, Gold Coast, Toowoomba and Nambour. Dr Allen worked for the Flying Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service, based in Roma, for 3 months. In this role, he gained valuable experience in surgery and advanced conditions.

Dr Allen enjoys working with expectant mothers, both high and low risk, to ensure that they have a healthy pregnancy and birth.
